Worship
"My heart I offer you Lord, promptly and sincerely" - John Calvin
Man is by nature a worshiper. We were created to worship the living God, and to enjoy him and the good gifts he lavishes upon us. Our tendency, however, is to look elsewhere for our joy and satisfaction. Sunday worship is a time where we meet with our God as his gathered people. Its purpose is to pull our affections away from the idols we tend to worship - money, career, approval, and power among other things - and set our hearts aflame for Jesus Christ and his mission.
Biblical, Contextual and Missional
At Kaleo, we have a bold, joyful and participatory style of worship, which is a careful blend of dignity and freedom. Our worship strives to be high and majestic, yet warm and personal; reflecting the ancient roots of our faith as well as the sounds and language of our city, San Diego.
Welcoming and Challenging
Our worship is meant to build up and encourage believers in their faith as well as welcome and help those who are struggling with the deep questions surrounding God, Jesus, faith and the meaning of life. We are a community where you can belong before you believe.
Worship and the Arts
There are many ways to serve or support the worship/arts ministry at Kaleo Church: through a worship team, audio/visual support, set-up and tear down crew, and set design. Please contact Brian Thomas, if interested: and visit Semper Reformanda Records for music, articles and journal entries from our worship leader.
