The Parable of the Sower: A Call to Listen (Mark 4:1-20)

Tim Cain, September 30, 2017
Part of the Mark series, preached at a Saturday Evening service

Tonight’s message is on the importance of truly listening. What does it look like to truly listen to God’s word and what are the things that keep us from doing it? This is one of the questions that Jesus answers for us in the Parable of the Sower (Mark 4:1-20). In this message, we will talk about the amazing fruit that comes from truly listening to God’s word and the many distractions that try and keep us from doing it. We will end the message by taking a few moments to remember why it is that Jesus is so worthy to be listened to.
