Union with Christ: Part 2 (Colossians 1:27-28)

Wes Van Fleet, October 28, 2017
Part of the Topical series, preached at a Saturday Evening service

In Part 2 of our series on Union with Christ, we will look at how this doctrine applies to the church. We will see that we are all made with this desire for glory and will not rest until we find it. Unfortunately, we look everywhere but Christ for this glory, resulting in mistreating one another in the church through provoking one another and envying one another (Gal. 5:24-26). It is not until we realize that our union with Christ places us in the midst of the glory (Col. 1:27) we desire that we will finally be drawn into the whirlwind of his glory in Christ. This not only leads to a holiness that is a result of our union with Christ but a daily posture of Seeing Jesus and Surrendering to the Spirit as a local body of Christ.
