Join us as we read through the Bible together each month. Here’s a simple suggested method for engaging God as you read each day: PRAY that God would open your heart and mind to understand and receive what he desires to speak to you. READ the selected section of Scripture. What is the call or main point of the text?
1. Adoration: God and his glorious character (how did Jesus do the call of this text
perfectly?)
2. Confession: You and your sinful character (where have I failed to do the call of this text?)
3. Thanksgiving: Jesus’ work for us (how does the cross free us?)
4. Supplication: The need for Jesus’ work in is (how does the Spirit enable us to do this
now?)
REFLECT on what strikes you as you read. How does it apply to your own life? How can God’s truth change you and how should you respond? RESPOND to what God has revealed to you through the passage. Speak directly to God. Pray through the passage, seeking to apply its truth to your life. RECORD your thoughts and/or prayer in your journal.
